Rocking Chair Footrests

January 18, 2009 | By | Add a Comment
My parents saw some rocking chair footrests at the local Mast General Store, and have been dropping hints about them for the past year. My husband and I decided we’d try to make them ourselves as part of our Handmade Pledge for last year’s Christmas gifts.

Here’s the process of making those special footrests. They’re perfect for propping your feet up while still rocking in a rocking chair, because they rock with you!

Wood-filling the seams and screw holes.

Covering the foam with fabric.

Watching the paint dry.

The finished product!

Now we just need some rocking chairs, a lazy Sunday afternoon, and some cavity-inducing iced tea.
